When I arrived at here, I was surprised by lots of things. One of them is food culture. Actually, in Korea, nobody eat hamburger, pizza and chicken on a daily basis. Such food is sort of instant food in Korea. There are several different things between Korea food and America food.
First of all, Korean eats rice every day. Rice is staple food in Korea and based on the rice, there are lots of side dishes when Korean has diet. In addition, the food that uses water has developed and the food is called “Jjigae”. Since staple food is rice, there are diverse foods by using rice including rice cake, rice ice cream and rice hamburger.
On the contrary, I think there is no word “staple food” in this country and food using meat has developed very well. Moreover, unlike Korea where has well-developed stew food, this country has well-developed a fried and roasted dish. That means I can get such fried and roasted dishes without high cost compared to Korea.
Even though I’ve lived in this country where has totally different food culture, I think we’d better respect their or our own culture and fortunately I’m familiar with America food~!
Haha your writing reminds me 'rice burger' :) yes, we can have lots of food that made of meat like we had rice meal in Korea.
답글삭제I also think there are few stew dishes in the US. Sometimes I actually miss that kind of food.
